Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Social Scales(“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website or apply to work with us. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@social-scales.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you complete our application or booking form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the answers you provide about your business (such as revenue band, business type, and product details).

Information collected automatically. When you use our site we automatically collect certain data such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring URLs, and interactions with the page. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 4).

Information from third parties. We may receive limited data from advertising and analytics platforms (for example, whether you arrived via a particular ad).

2. How we use your information

  • To review your application and determine whether we are a fit.
  • To schedule, confirm, and prepare for your strategy call.
  • To contact you about your enquiry, by email, phone, or WhatsApp.
  • To provide, operate, and improve our services and website.
  • To measure and improve our marketing, including measuring the effectiveness of our advertising.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Legal bases for processing (UK GDPR)

We rely on the following legal bases: consent (for certain cookies and marketing), performance of a contract or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (to handle your application and calls), and our legitimate interests (to run and grow our business, secure our site, and understand how it is used), balanced against your rights.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site and to measure and improve our advertising. In particular, we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, browser, page activity, and events like submitting the form or booking a call. Where you provide contact details, we share a hashed (irreversible) version with Meta to help match and measure conversions. You can control cookies through your browser settings and manage ad personalisation in your Meta account settings.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, including:

  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) — our CRM and scheduling platform, used to manage applications and bookings.
  • Meta Platforms — for advertising measurement and optimisation (Pixel and Conversions API).
  • Vimeo — for hosting and serving video content.
  • Vercel — for website hosting and infrastructure.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, users, or others.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or an adequacy decision.

7. Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to comply with our legal obligations, and to resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data; to object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@social-scales.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Our website and services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.

12. Contact us
